Ken Clarke has looked at the West Lothian Question and come up with a fudge. I had hoped he would have recommended that Scottish MPs have no say at all on English bills, but instead banning them from voting on the Committee and Report stages is like the current government's attempts to reform the House of Lords; a complete nonsense that leaves us in limbo.
Quite frankly, if this is the best he can come up with, he should retire gracefully from front-line politics. I cannot see anyone in their right minds supporting him. I certainly can't and neither will the thousands of Scots who think the current system is unfair and no doubt will think this fudge is unfair too. You should have tried harder, Ken.
