After Nick Griffin's performance on Question Time last night, I am hoping his performance will have succeeded in turning voters away from the BNP. There is a chance, as I wrote yesterday, many working class people who feel they have been failed by politicians will feel sympathy for Griffin. Did anyone on the panel last night address their concerns about immigration?
Tonight I found out Labour deliberately allowed uncontrolled immigration. If this story is true - and I don't have a cause to doubt its veracity - then this could easily be the final nail in the coffin for Labour in its traditional heartlands.

I find this shocking.
However part of me is cautious because it has shades of the smears used in 2005 to stop the Conservative party getting its message across. (Is it a cunning Lab plan to get the right talking immigration -> nasty party etc etc)
Labour could be scaring the supporters it lost to the Lib Dems back, before trying to bribe the traditional working class over the next few months.
But if the stories true then I think we have to consider very seriously what to do about governments that carry out conspiracies against their own people and country.
That's why I would call for a public inquiry as a first step, though perhaps immunity to subsequent prosecutions couldn't be ruled out.
