The trial of Nick Griffin

Nick Griffin is struggling and wriggling tonight on Question Time, but it's hardly surprising. Everyone is against him and this worries me. There is a real and present danger those who are tempted to vote BNP will see this as a stitch up and it may garner support for him. I hope not. Any thoughts?

He came across as a shifty fool.

Yes, there were times when he did, but if you are tempted to vote BNP, you may think he was stitched up. This is coming across on Five Live too.

I wasn't able to watch the program, but the BNP issue worries me greatly.

They are good at marketing and appeal to what is missing from the left and right in politics.

Question time is quite stage managed, it would be more appropriate to get the party engaged in a more gritty debate for example, Paxman.

I thought he held his own against a largely hostile audience, panel and chair.

I was disappointed they turned it into the Nick Griffin show. Theoretically the panellists shouldn't dictate the questions. Given him being on the show was 'news' I would've considered a BNP related question to be expected but not the whole bloody show.

I think you have the key point that is how does he look to his voters and key target voters.

We saw a middle class lynching. I suspect that what they saw also.

We missed the chance to show the BNP up with everyone's desperation to be seen attacking Nick Griffin.

It is unfortunate that there are people with the same views as Griffin. They should not be allowed to be in politics.
