The net financial cost of Britain’s membership of the EU

Judging by some of the messages I have received about my last post, there appears to be some confusion, which I will now clear up.

During the next financial  year – 2010/11 – Britain’s net contribution to the EU will be £6.4 billion. This is how much the British taxpayer will stump up after our rebate and receipts are taken into account.
